I tend to stand in one place for awhile when working glass and get achy from just standing and not stretching. I agree with Angel...it's sorta like staring at your computer monitor without looking away to focus somewhere else.
Try just setting a timer for 20 minutes and when it goes off, do a little knee bends, stretching, move around. See what happens at the end of the day.
I have a small "gym" in my office---small stair-stepper, couple of 3 lb weights, and one of those half-cycles under my desk so I can pedal while I am on the phone. I spend much of my day on conference calls (with a wireless headset) and enjoy the variety of equipment more than just walking up and down the hall while on the phone.
See if moving periodically (and stretching) helps to alleviate some of your discomfort.
