Thanks, Nancy. I had tables built for my height; I too am short at just under 5'. And my tables are considerably shorter than others. When I was at Aanraku, they kindly furnished me with a little box to stand on, the table s were so high!
Nonetheless, I have few problems with any bending or back issues. It is the concrete w/tiled floor that is getting to my hips, knees and feet. And I use those thick rubber mats when cutting, grinding, foiling or soldering.
I think Angel’s recommendation of moving around more may be a possible solution. When foiling, for example, I am stationary for most of that part of the process. I am going to double up on the mats (one on top of the other) this time around and see if it helps any.
