After having received my Taurus 3 ringsaw today and spent a few hours getting to know it, I find I am in love with a piece of machinary! It may not be the thing for a lot of people but for me it is worth it's weight in gold. I don't find it any noisier than my grinder when in use and as far as flying glass bits, they seem to be more like glass sand (no nicks, pricks, or gouges) by them. It may take a little longer to cut with it than by scoring and breaking but I prefer spending the time versus breaking off pieces that I didn't want broken off because the glass ran in the wrong direction. Hope this helps anyone considering a ringsaw, I highly recommend the Gemini Taurus 3 (no I don't work for them..lol).
