You can only deviate/move the blade no more than 1/16th of an inch in any direction and if you go any further than that you will break the blade. This is written in their manual, but no one seems to see it! When you break your first blade if you have not used it for more than 10 hours, you can return it to the factory (Taurus II saws that is) with a check for $25.00 (use to be the fee) and they will replace the balde for you, that was also in their manual some place. I did this a couple of months after I got my saw and got too cockie with it thinking I was really good at cutting. Be patient with it and do not force the glass thru the blade. I have never cut my fingers with the blade and they have hit the blade a couple of times now. I have been very happy with my Taurus II, especially with cutting drapery glass. Good luck
