The directions that came with the paper say it only can be used with laser printers with toner containing iron oxide. After spending lots of time on the HP site, finally found the information on toner cartridge chemical composition. Our local freecycle has another on-line for-sale listing and a couple of weeks ago a lady offered a free laser printer if you bought her 3 toner cartridges for $95.00. I was a little nervous because this printer was made for Windows 95. Hooked it up to my XP, downloaded the drivers, and it works O.K. The woman who sold it said her husband didn't like it because, when the paper supply was low, the machine would grab more than one sheet of paper. For the photo fusing paper, that's O.K. since you are supposed to use the one-sheet-at-a-time option. My next stop today is Costco to see if I can find Photoshop Elements cheaper than my discounted student $64.98 plus s/h. Want to be able to work on the photos a bit before putting them on this expensive paper. There is just so much to learn.
