Hi Rebecca, Another question, if you don't mind. The platters were a marginal success. The fluted one worked like an absolute dream. The square one, however, showed slight devitrification on one side and there were only two airholes in the bottom of the mold, which was not enough and I have a large bubble in the middle. I would like to re-slump this one to get rid of the bubble (after drilling another airhole in the bottom of the mold) However, is this going to worsen the devitirification, or can I just spray some overglaze on the piece to get rid of the existing devit and prevent more of it occurring. I presume that if I do re-fire, I would use the same program I used to slump it originally? Once the platter is full of cookies, nobody would even notice the bubble, so it's not the end of the world if it has to stay the way it is.
