There are a lot of different ways.
You can fuse things in between two pieces of glass - shapes cut from fiber paper, copper foil, leaves...
You can use traditional paint and apply with brushes, airbrush, silk screen...
You can use mica powder, frit, enamels
You can use special decals.
It depends on what you have in mind.
