I have been having a problem with solder beading. I have been soldering for close to 30 years without much regard to brand of solder or flux. I have been using Fluxomatic and the cheaper solder from Sunshine Glass for quite some time and have never had a problem. I pride myself on a perfect bead on my suncatchers but lately they just don't set up the same. I don't think it is a heat problem( I use a 100 watt iron) because before it sets it looks perfect.
I think the solder manufacturers have done something - I don't know what - but it is frustrating. I even took a piece down to the local SG store to see if it made a difference. I used Canfield ($$$$) solder and a different brand of flux and got the same results! The store owner suggested that I polish the bead but that did not help.

Any of the solder manuacturers care to comment???
