Rather than using nails to hold my glass pieces together, I am thinking about using message board tacks. I am NOT using came - just foil & solder. What is the best type of tack board to use that will last a long time? Where do I buy it? Can you buy it in single sheets?

Homasote is what most experienced Gassers prefer to work on...practically indestructible to nails or tacks or soldering. Call around to some of the lumber suppliers in your area. Home Depot doesn't carry it everywhere.

Cork board and ceiling tiles are too soft. Ceiling tiles also shed lint. Homasote is clean and durable. You might have to buy a whole sheet and have it cut down for your workbench needs..
